I was hired at Eagle in 2011 left in 2012 for a corporate gig. I didn't care for it at all and came back.

I'll go ahead and dissent with all the naysayers. I had a great corp job for years before coming to Envoy, had a great schedule and QOL, which IMO I'll never have another job that beat it regarding those two issues, took a pay cut too. BUT the income ceiling was low and really was a job better suited for guys who were retired, not a young guy trying to grow his career.
But I can tell you if I had been making more $$ I wouldn't have left that job. Now job security probably the airlines is where it's at. We all have to find what's best for us. If I come across another corp job that pays well and has a better QOL than commuting I'll give it serious consideration, even if it means forfeiting the chance of making 200k+. But those jobs are far and few between.

Your story sounds like mine. If it weren't for the upheaval of just starting in the airline world, I'd still be sitting happy in my last corp job. HAPPY! But given the forecast turnover, figured I'd regret not putting forth the effort of taking advantage of the situation.

You must have been ejected from Envoy and now live on call 24/7 in the charter/corporate world. I'm sorry. It's ok they will sell your airplane soon don't worry, then you can go to Mesa. I'm sure your going to comeback on here and say you don't know me and how dare you say something like that about me and honestly I don't give two ****s.

I'm in a similar boat as the others. Hired by Eagle in 2011 left for corporate in 2014. My QOL is awesome I fly 3-4 times a month with very few overnights. However as someone mentioned my pay ceiling is relatively low. It has also hurt my overall progression because I've only been flying 200 hours a year the last 3 years. Now because of that I'm looking at having to do some more time at a regional before I can hit the legacy jackpot.

However I'd probably do the same thing if I had to do it over. At the time I left Eagle I had never sniffed a line. (3 years on RSV) 3 different bases and 2 planes. When I left I tripled my pay and would just now be equaling what I make now if I stayed at Eagle.
