I'm in a similar boat as the others. Hired by Eagle in 2011 left for corporate in 2014. My QOL is awesome I fly 3-4 times a month with very few overnights. However as someone mentioned my pay ceiling is relatively low. It has also hurt my overall progression because I've only been flying 200 hours a year the last 3 years. Now because of that I'm looking at having to do some more time at a regional before I can hit the legacy jackpot.
However I'd probably do the same thing if I had to do it over. At the time I left Eagle I had never sniffed a line. (3 years on RSV) 3 different bases and 2 planes. When I left I tripled my pay and would just now be equaling what I make now if I stayed at Eagle. |

The QOL is where I'm looking too. And this isn't a bottom shelf offer either. Lear 75s and Gulfstreams. The pay starts at 2nd year American FO pay. I believe the "shortage" is starting to effect the low and mid level corporate jobs like this one. It's the only reason I think they even interviewed me with the hours I have. (1050) Either way I go though, I'm in a good position I think.

If you leave after 1 year, then do you get to keep a pro-rated amount or are you forking it all back over?

Also you'd be about 24 months from AA if you had stayed and a captain close to holding a line in DFW right now. |

You where in my new hire class, how did you never hold a line? I never really sat reserve.....if you had displaced off the atr to the emj you'd have been a line holder same with Ord crj, I'm curious your path

This may all be true, except the part about close to holding a line. They would be near the bottom of the reserve list as a CA in DFW right now.

They'd be 990 system seniority, they'd be middle of RSV list and if you look at the flow plan DFW EMJ CA by fall will be 2014-2015. There's a boat load of DFW emj guys in qu or about to start. I stand behind my claim they would be close to holding a line in DFW.

Just have to decide if I want to stay put and wait till they eventually start taking lower time guys or go to a place hiring DEC's or go somewhere as an FO again. |

Second youngest in class. Got stuck with MIA ATR. Was the last person on the Rsv list for 6 months till it closed. Got displaced to DFW ATR. Then displaced to ORD CRJ. In hindsight I should have displaced to DFW EMJ. However at the time the 700 was doing ALOT of OKC flying so I went for the prospect of a fair amount of overnights at home. Which I actually did get a good amount of.

You keep bouncing around and will never progress. Go for the E175 if you can. |
