Commuting Questions > Jumpseat Guide
If an airline does not show up on ALPA's Jumpseat Guide list does that mean that we (Envoy / American) do not have any agreements with them? I travel from a place without a lot of traditional direct flight options to DFW (only summer seasonal on American).
All of the following non traditional options have direct flights to DFW though: Cathay Pacific, Korean Airlines, Cargolux Airlines International, Atlas Air, Nippon Cargo or EVA Air. If some or any of these are commuting possibilities for me then my commute suddenly becomes ALOT easier. Trouble is, none of the above are listed on ALPA Jumpseat Guide from what I can tell and I don't know if I can or how to list with them. So...are any of these players, and if so, how do I list with them...at the gate and one hour before? Any help is greatly appreciated, and as always, thanks in advance! |
...i believe you have to purchase a ZED fair.
it's under department>travel>myidtravel then click on booking/listing prices vary hope this helps |
What if the travel website shows you not eligible for other airlines? Is this a probation thing or an oversight when they created my account?

Atlas Air is on the ALPA jumpseat guide.

And just to be clear, you are not eligible for ZED fares on other airlines until you hit the six month mark. You can still jumpseat on other airlines nearly right away, just as soon as you get setup in CASS.

So is ZED so expensive that I'll never want to use it, or is the cost nominal (say less than 100 bucks)? Clearly I'd rather use a free jump seat, but if I can't get there easily without ZED and its not that expensive I might consider using it more...
