It seems to me there are plenty of lifers at Envoy. Granted, those guys don’t sit reserve unless they want to, so don’t care about reserve rules, but those guys should probably be the MOST interested in pay improvements. A lot of them are 10-15 years to retirement. They are the ones that should be most involved with the union because they are NOT flowing.

280ish on the list.

When is the MEC chair heading out the door?

Sad thing is, another stooge will most likely step up and replace him.

I am all for paying a little more our of pocket to hire PROFESSSINAL NEGOTIATORS.

This year...

Wow i didn’t know that termination of a volunteer was a tactic used in the past. If that is true, I would gladly kick in another couple bucks to get people in there that can’t be terminated, ie a professional negotiator.

This is a good idea. In 2016 they fired 2 MEC reps.
Our history of them attacking the union by firing union reps isn’t new. They fired 3 of the past 5 NY CA reps. Some fired/rehired multiple times. The record was 7 terminations, in some cases for things as simple as claiming the CEO a liar publicly at a company meeting. Basically the company uses termination to teach lessons and force compliance.

No, that’s actually not accurate. They put on a great show of providing support.

I love getting my ALPA union emails with unity for the JetBlue pilots and Spirit Pilots for them to get better pay and contracts, my dues have bought those boys some nice picket signs.... maybe the newbs whose flow is non existent or a decade away should get involved and rock the boat. Or the cobwebs, excuse me the eagle lifers should get involved and rock the boat.

Lifers don't give a squat. I just feel sorry for them.

Lifers. Some are nice guys. Some not. Never know how they will vote. They just want to make sure their money and vacation is guaranteed. They could care less about the flow for the rest of us. They have no reason to mess with ALPA or contribute to union negotiations.

Agreed. They are envious of us young guns that will make more cash once we make it to mainline than they will make their entire time at envoy-eagle etc.

In 10 years

I’m always impressed how the newish guys/gals have the big picture that lifers seemed to have missed this whole time.
