The lack of communication from the union is disappointing. They don’t keep the pilot group in the loop. They have crew room visits that over 85% of the pilot group cannot attend. They don’t need questions from us. They know what we want. We need them to tell us what progress they are making and what they are trying to negotiate for us. If they are scared for their jobs then they need to tell us that. I think we need alpa to bring in professionals to negotiate for us and they will not be afraid of repercussions from management. I don’t see many changes for the pilot group in the near future because the union is communicating nothing to us that is positive. We are pretty much helpless and are at the mercy of a company that is trying to grow with not enough captains to support the growth. They seem to care less about their pilots QOL and more about growth. The lack of reserve QOL, lack of good schedules, and now behind the curve on industry leading pay will soon lead to more frustration from the pilot group. I don’t know what the breaking point will be, but I hope our Union can turn around this downward spiral.

This has been my same thoughts but you do bring up a good point which is the union playing scared. I think this is a realistic and alarming position we find ourselves in. The company is very termination-happy and there's no easier target for them than union volunteers that stand up to them. History proves this to be true.

You guys can't possibly believe the union represents the pilots. The union is there to deflect personal responsibility from management.
