But seriously I like him. Does he even have a medical? Isn’t he too senior to be squeezed out? Will they be so kind enough to rehire him at half the pay as a street instructor?

Perry is awesome, but pretty sure he is over 65, he won't be heading back to the line.

He's over 65 I think, so he won't be flying the line. I was a bit nervous before my LOE because everyone kept telling me how awful he was...it really wasn't that bad at all though. He could be a bit quirky at times, but I actually found it somewhat entertaining.

Perry is an awesome guy. He helped me a tremendous amount during my initial training.

All Perry cares about is exact wording when calling for things in the cockpit. If you call for “Let’s go gear down” he will rip you a new one. It’s just GEAR DOWN

Ha. Yeah, I learned that when I asked the CA on my LOE if he wanted me to kill the APU after I was finished starting the second engine.
