They made it clear that wasn’t the case during my interview. They would award it right off the bat but it’s against the contract so they have to actually “displace” you to CA. Technically you can bid anything you want from the drop but they strongly encourage you to pick 145 LGA as to not needlessly take a spot from a new hire FO if they wanted something else.
