He was not a pilot in the military. Apparently not much gi left. Been flying civilian medevac in helos for a long time. He’s thinking commutair. I’ll tell him about the fb group

I think one of the requirements for RTP is to be a graduate of a military flight program, correct me if I'm wrong.

Otherwise you don't qualify for 750 R-ATP

True. You must be a military pilot to qualify for the 750 hour R-ATP. I don’t know what the requirements are, but you can still get your fixed wing ratings as add ons. And I don’t know that one can qualify for any of the R-ATP programs, but I know of at least a couple of guys that were straight civilian pilots that started out in rotors and had minimal fixed wing time when hired. But they were NOT part of the RTP program.

There’s at least 2 civilian RTP guys that are now online. Though it was a limited run and it’s back to military only RTP candidates.
