Any recommendations for a quality sweater now that Fall is approaching?

There's a black commando sweater with captain epps on it in the JFK standby room. It's been there for at least 4 months so I'm pretty sure no one is coming back for it.

You can’t get either right now. Neider’s email said you could get something similar or like the old V-Neck wool sweater if you wanted.

I always interpreted it as a happy soul leaving every part of LGA behind (for DFW maybe).

I don’t like the VNeck, the one from T&H was good looking but they’re not selling it

Would you say I have a plethora of sweaters?

A. Wait for the uniform issue option from M&H.

B. Get an Army or Navy issue black commando sweater (available from clothing sales or third party)

C. Beat up a SkyWest kid and take his stupid looking commando sweater.

Sweater between Nov1st - Apr30th
 

So...... FM1 says you MAY wear the Jacket over the commando sweater during the winter months. Has anyone done this? It seems like it may look a little funny with the sweater then the jacket over it.

If you wear the sweater are required to still wear the jacket? I can find anything in FM1 that answers this question.

You can wear just the approved sweater, no need for a jacket.

Could be, but there’s lots of old stuff in there. It also still says that the only approved uniform items are Twin Hill but we have an email that says otherwise, so I guess it doesn’t matter. We have people running around in North Face jackets and nobody stops them. The sweater without a blazer isn’t something that the CPO is worrying about.

Yes, you can do that. It's great and all, but trust me, be ready to shock the **** outa yourself every time you take one or the other off, and touch something metal.

Is there anything similar to the twin hill zipper sweater available? I sent mine in to get the zipper fixed and they kept it

My zipper just broke on it too. Shame, I much prefer the sweater to the jacket.

Where'd you send it so I know not to use them?

I sent it back to twinhill to get it fixed since it was still under warranty, but it was just around the time they announced we were switching uniforms. So they kept it and gave me a refund instead

So what happens when I literally juuuust ordered my M&H crap a few weeks ago, it has a historic 3 month delivery time, guaranteed to not fit, so I'll need another couple of months to send it back for replacement? I guess I come to work naked.

I refuse to ware that M&H stuff. Horribly uncomfortable and doesn't fit properly. All of the Cut Above stuff is good, although I dont like the feel of the Tropico one, or whatever it is called.

M&H one with the buttons would be perfect for movie night at a New Jersey nursing home.

Regarding the M&H shirts, anyone found a solution to soften them up yet? When my GF accidentally packs one for me I feel like it's rubbing all the skin off the sides of my neck with the giant ridiculous collar.

I found a great solution, set them on fire and buy A Cut Above.

This is the only good way to handle it.
