Default Envoy from ACMI

I’m at an ACMI with a 16/14 schedule and looking to move to something with a more livable schedule for a family. Out of all the AA wholly owned, it looks like Envoy has the best flow through. I have around 600 hrs 121 time and I’d like the Miami base if I come to Envoy. How long are reserve times from DOH for captains in Miami or Dallas? I like the idea of working for PSA, Piedmont or Envoy. I can live in Charlotte or Miami. Any recommendations based on historic and current conditions?

Don't come here for flow. It will take a decade+, if it even exists at that point.

PDT has mostly 4 on 2 off type schedules. Sometimes you may work fewer than 4 or have more than 2 off but 4/2 is typically how the lines are built. Not great compared to our sister companies, or the entire industry for that matter. If QOL is the goal, I would pick PSA or ENY if you HAD to come to an AA WO... but if I were you I would probably be shooting for a Major. Spirit/JB/Frontier all hiring....

Yea aim for mainline, then JB, Spirit, etc.. If for some reason you're dead set on AA w/o then go to PSA for pay and qol. As stated on other threads, they have better rates and make out even better in other areas that have them crediting way more hours than a typical Envoy pilot. Don't come here for MIA either. It's fairly senior for the most part and not going to see any significant growth. You might get there but you'll be reserve on the 145 until you can find a better job.

You will play Russian roulette if you want to be based in Miami.

MIA is shrinking quite a bit. AA is giving Republic as much of our east coast flying as they can staff, leaving our bases super senior and very stagnant. I’d go to PSA in your shoes, or my shoes if I had a do-over.

It’s running about a year and a half to hold MIA in the left seat currently. It’s a fairly small and stagnant base for us, so chances are that’s not going to come down much.

Don’t help the help, until they pay us. Shoot for the stars, go major.

The envoy projected flow is misleading. It's much closer to 10 years than 6.

Piedmont has the worst pay, schedules and QOL of any of the three AA Wholly Owned regionals. The five year flow on the company website is a blatant misestimation/lie. Expect a 9.5-10 year flow as a new hire. Line holding CA in CLT is taking about 3.5 years.

You’re best off going to PSA.
