Lga 175

According to both aa.com and AirPortal, the 175 will start turns between ORD-LGA starting January 7 2020.

Thoughts?

What's your point?

Sounds like AA is shuffling things around to maximize efficiency on the 737/Airbus. It will be interesting to see how the captains who have never flown into LGA handle the Expressway Visual 31...be configured at the tanks.

I'd say if you can do the DCA river visual, the expressway isn't that hard. Its an ILS with a visual left traffic at the end.
We also do it in the sim.
It's challenging, but it's not that hard.

More regionals doing hub to hub...outstanding.

Possibly due to the 737 Max still being grounded

Unfortunately New York isn’t considered a hub for AA. It’s why PSA can do CLT-LGA and Republic has done MIA-LGA occasionally.

It's no big deal, we used to hand fly it in the -80 all the time. Cross the Home Depot at 800', and you're in the groove.

Can that thing not do the RNAV-F?

The Home Depot is less than 4000 ft from the end of the runway.....I’d really like to see you cross it at 800 ft and land on 31.

There are two of them, the one right off the end of the runway is in College Point, you cross that one closer to 300', the other is in flushing, abeam Citi field right after you start the turn. Thats the one we would shoot for 800' abeam.

I haven't flown with anyone who does it with everything turned off in a long time. LNAV/VNAV all the way these days.
