The 31/32 gates at JFK T8 can't support multiple E175s, so until the gates are redone, it seems like Envoy 145s are pretty safe. As far as I know, Republic only operates one or two JFK turns daily for AA. Everything else is Envoy 145.

Forced upgrades are displacements.

Umm. There have been displaced pilots on every bid I can remember from the last couple of years. Most have not been “displacement bids”, but the result is the same. Look at the most recent flow plan. Everyone with a DISP or PROF next to their name was displaced. It’s half the list at least.

Yup I know I know that many people have DISP next to their name. Forced upgrades are not displacements. The provision was to force the most junior qualified pilot to a vacancy that wasn’t filled. (No one wants to upgrade to NY ok so we force the most junior pilot to that position. And yes the most junior pilot could have been a CA.) It was never intended to act as a CA shortage tool. The company held us down while the company ran us over with it. Look in the contract where displacements are defined. The use of 15G4 and the rules for forcing upgrades, PTD, 3D, and proffers to CA positions have continually changed from bid to bid. So much so that I completely stopped caring and just lowering my head for the next few months.
