attrition - it depends, inside 1000 seniority it is about 1.7 per month extra, so you can use 23-24 if you want to count attrition...
(2380-190)/24=91months with being optimistic (7.6 years)

that doesnt work. Your first year you move up 500 numbers. The important point people dont seem to get in the attrition numbers is the jump in 1000 to 1500 pilots leaving. Thats when you generally start being competitive elsewhere. That means people are not waiting for flow any more. And thats a big change from 1-2 years ago.
the flow does not work as retention tool any more for the 1000+ seniority guys.

What do you mean it doesnt work anymore for 1000+ seniority pilots?

Any truth to captains getting paid 2nd year AA fo pay with 16% direct contributions to keep ya' all here? Getting really bone tight on captains.

I think this is the "new LAX base" rumor replacement.

Yeah no. This won’t happen unless they are losing so many to attrition they can’t operate. Even then, it’s a long shot.

No... it's not the Envoy way.

First, PSA will need to get it. Then we'll have talks that the company want to meet with the union to match it. We'll get all excited. The meetings will drag on for 6 months, with the company wanting concessions. Then we'll get an AIP and get all excited again. Then the company will back out. Then a couple months later, we'll get a small pay bump that mostly only applies to the top 500 or so on the seniority list.

You forgot that the Dallas union reps who vote yes on this will flow and be the main beneficiaries, as is tradition

You might want to recheck the seniority numbers of the DFW reps.

I’m sure he was referencing the last group/last MEC.

Oh my god this is such horse *******. I literally just got back from hanging out with some Skywest buddies of mine and they said the roughly half of y’all get out on special tracking for initial.

The more affiliations doesn’t matter either, also if anything, companies aren’t going to say at the hiring table “well gee, he/she is Skywest and they are such an elite group of button pushers, we should give them all jobs just because they work there!”

You’re chances of getting hired off the street are not quadrupled either [emoji23] Skywest folks that we’re hired OTS were military, that has been mentioned before in these forums.

Stop trying to scare people, it serves no benefit for anyone including yourself

Damn, ya got me! Your* guess it’s good I got a flow in my back pocket then.

For real though, it is crazy how closely they look at your app, apparently at United if your phone number doesn’t include the country code in it they dock you points. Not sure if that’s true or not but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Well, they can dock points from me then. I have a US telephone number and I'm applying to a US based company. If I were reviewing apps in that case, I'd dock points for stupidity if someone included the country code in that situation.

Really? It wouldn't surprise you if this were true? If you find that plausible then I've got a bridge to sell you.
