Bonuses vs pay scale
Times like these show pay scales are more important than bonuses the company can cancel. Anyone have any doubt the company would of canceled the FO retention bonus?

Yes and no. If things are really bad enough pay rates won’t matter one way or the other. They’ll wipe them out in a bankruptcy contract or whipsaw to see who is willing to do the flying cheaper. There is no real leverage at a regional.

Yes and yes. It’s true that things could get worse, but pay is much more protected than bonuses. The bonuses would already be gone, while they haven’t (yet), tried to even open negotiations for pay rates.
Also, THKooj’s post is nonsense.
