About the airframe you are assigned

If i get the interview and if i get the job, are you stuck with the airframe you are assigned in class for the remainder of your time at envoy? Can you bid to other airframes if assigned to the 145 and down the road want to fly the 170. From what I've read it seems that depending on what airframe you're flying your personal experience can be vastly different from one pilot to another.

you can upgrade to be a CA on a different airframe once you've got the hours and seniority

Yes. A difference in airframe can lead to a vastly different experience at the Envoy.

First Officers can NOT bid to another airframe as FO. When you upgrade to captain you can bid to a different plane. A limited number of captains can also bid to another plane if not seat locked due to training.

How long is the seat lock for captains?

23.5ish months from the time you start training.

Zero displacements on the last bid, which caused a flow delay now for senior FOs who thought they'd get displaced. We'll see what happens on the next bid.

Nothing like losing $100k in career end earnings to make extra 5 hours a month for a year.

Yah pretty dumb move. I’m all for working all parts of the contract to your advantage, but if you’re relying on the CA upgrade to flow, it’s pretty dumb to to not pref bid to make sure you’re safe.
