There are 2022 on the seniority list. 600 WARN notices being sent but the numbers now are 530 furloughs and 274 downgrades. 26% furloughed going back to 2018 hires

3 -3.5 years to recall everyone back, I doubt people will wait that long to come back to a regional for peanuts.

Wait 10 years to flow to AA and only to get furloughed, what a travesty.

As someone relatively new to the 121 world and hasnt experienced the big F before, what percentage of furloughed pilots typically dont come back to their regional?

Depends on how long the downturn is, I imagine if it's years then a lot of guys will have no choice but to pursue other careers. If it's a cushy job, then who would want to come back to this **** show?

Still word on leaves (paid, unpaid) — it sounds like they’re going to do a VEOP and that may be it.... unless we have a second round of displacements coming up in yet another vacancy bid.

Was looking at the CBA. there is a letter, 14-07 I believe, from the previous furlough that says the company has to offer voluntary LOA equal to number of furloughs. Not sure if it’s still in affect. BUT it does allow the company to choose how many from what status to offer. Probably would not let many, if any, 175 go. Probably offer up all the NCEs

I don't see a sunset date on it, so I would assume that it is still valid. It would be worth an email to the MEC to see their view on it and if they plan to push it.

Considering it allows the company to decide if they want to let certain statuses or how many if they open it up, I don’t see a downside to the company allowing it. Seems to me like anyone above the cut line that has finished IOE that takes a voluntary LOA is going to cost the same amount in retraining and save more on labor.
