Be aware that sim entries in your logbook technically only count if signed by a sim instructor. Even if they won't sign it, you can still log it just to help you keep count but the FAA would need to see the official company sim records to validate that if push came to shove.

You can log real airplane tasks yourself, but the sim requires an instructor signature.

I don’t know what the rules at ENY are, but sim instructor authority is typically contingent on the training program they are authorized through. You can’t just sign off whatever you want in the sim, it has to be authorized by the signatory on that program. You could say you saw the maneuvers, but since I doubt ENY has a Part 61 IPC in the training manual, I don’t see how they could sign one of those.

Hence why I put a comment in the book that says “see company training records in the comment section. I understand that and don’t expect any instructors to sign off on my book, but at least I have documentation on dates and times I was in the sim for my records and where to go look for verification.

I also understand and smart enough to know the difference between current and proficient. I won’t take a GA bird into the soup without being instrument proficient on the GA side.

You no longer need an instructor to sign your logbook for instrument approaches/currency in the sim. They changed this about 2 years ago. You only need a signature if using the instrument time towards a flight rating/certificate.
