He is getting the help he needs… but posting about it here really serves no purpose. It’s a terrible situation that was handled months ago. It really sucks that it’s being dug back up now.

Glad he's getting help, but I'm curious how this went down - did he make the PA from a galley or wander into the flight deck and do it from there?

I’m not gonna go into it anymore. He’s actually a really good dude in a really bad situation, and I feel for the guy. He’s one of us, we shouldn’t be gossiping about him.

This is rude and inconsiderate. If you ask everyone on that plane one by one you might get less than 5% of who would consent to this speech. We have a public trust to maintain the things we do have dire consequences, to ourselves and fellow pilots.

I guess I’m in the minority and laughed through it, so bad I assumed it was fake.

But I’ll make you a deal, if I ever pick up a PA and start discussing my porn addiction and sexual likes, you're free to roast me on the forums as well.

This happened awhile ago, I was telling some AA guys in the jump and they didn't believe me. Really surprised AA kept it this quiet for this long.

Apparently it was a DHing Envoy FO on a mainline flight and he somehow socially engineered his way to the front galley PA after arrival at the gate.

APC didn't air his issues out to the public, he did that all on his own. Just like Captain Jackass with his Instagram and YouTube, he's fair game.

The difference between them, one really needs help. The other is an attention *****.

That’s a solid point. Once you literally announce to the world via a megaphone, you lose the right to remain anonymous.

He can be glad his face isn’t on the video, otherwise imagine the memes

Not trying to be a douche about it - I feel for the dude, I really do. But I'm not looking for gossip - just thinking that I might need to reevaluate my attitude about leaving the flight deck after a flight. Maybe close the door? I dunno. I read the random stuff that happens to AA 737s on a regular basis - this is the same sort of thing.
