Just wanted to add to this. A12 was comparted to A3 when I asked. A3, while better than A12, isn't always a confirmed seat either. Both are A passes, no jumpseat, as stated to me.

Soooo, you're saying it's kosher to take the jumpseat on an A12 if it's you're only way on even if that means it leaves another jumpseat qualified individual at the gate not listed on an A pass?
