Default ENY Real-world Reserve: LCR/SCR/Airport?

Trying to decide between Envoy's and PSA's DEC programs. Both WO's are advertising: "NEW Long Call Reserve — Get at least 12 hours notice before your trip assignment."

Asked a similar question on the PSA forum and received some very helpful perspective as to how PSA is actually implementing this: "85% of reserve lines are short call, and short call can be converted to hot reserve 8 times a month. 15% long call." (Thanks captande for the info!)

Any chance that Envoy is *actually* putting most folks on LCR, or are they (like their other WO stablemate) suggesting one thing, but practicing something very different?

Many thanks!

Not sure how it is at Envoy but keep in mind if you're on LCR most likely contractually you will be used first.

Envoy has not yet implemented long call reserve.

I hope the negotiating committee proves me wrong, but I’m guessing 10-20% tops for long call.

i wouldn’t let long call sway you. Whoever has the easiest bases for you to commute to is where you should go. If you’re moving, pick Charlotte or Dallas and go.

Right now reserve sucks at envoy. Will LC and PBS help that? Maybe, maybe not…

Don’t expect either of these to significantly alter QOL. PBS will still have the same sequences and unless the PBS negotiations get the ability to conflict trips with vacation, it will probably be a negative impact on QOL with it only benefiting the most senior pilots. LCR will probably not make many pilot’s life better. Either Envoy will use this as a way to assign flying, or if LCR truly end up not flying much, expect it to go very senior.

im hoping LCR makes it where you always fly. It gives a commuter with a reserve line good QOL
