I've only heard of one person not making it through the CRB. They apparently interviewed mid-April and recieved an email around the end of May saying that pre-employment checks were unsuccessful and they were rescinding the CJO. If you haven't gotten that, then I think you're good.

hi! They did. They said her class will be the last “small one” and then they should get larger after. There is a group on group me talking about it if anyone is interested in joining.

When you say this, does this include guys like us with CJOs ("hired") or those already on property? Meaning they have enough pilots WITHOUT training those with CJOs or we're included in the hired pool?
Envoy has been losing fewer pilots this year than last, so the overall state of the airline industry has had a trickle down effect to cause a lull in Envoy hiring. They expect new hire training to slowly pick back up. Envoy has a past history of keeping pilots waiting and not giving them much more than two weeks notice for class dates. I'm just saying that some of you may be waiting longer than you expected for a class date, and if you haven't interviewed yet, you may be waiting a lot longer. If enough pilots accept job offers somewhere else, Envoy will need to interview again eventually. |

My understanding from talking to my instructor is that Envoy thinks it has enough pilots in their pool--pilots who currently have CJOs--to fill Indoc classes for the rest of this year. I don't think they will rescind CJOs unless the captain review board finds a problem.

American is now cancelling classes for 2024 - I think we are going to see a significant slowdown at Envoy as attrition will go close to zero.
Envoy is running a new system bid in 2 1/2 weeks where pilots will be awarded upgrade and/or new bases. If we continue to see lots of upgrades awarded, we will continue to train new FOs to replace them. This is definitely a slow down, but not a black swan event. |

Flow was always a small part of Envoy's attrition. The problem is no one else is really hiring either and we don't have many retirements. Most of our growth lately has been from acquiring used E170s that are not as restricted by scope as the E175s. I imagine staffing projections are complicated. I think a modest amount of new hire training will continue, but they might not increase those classes above 8 if things don't pick up.

Separate question…how long does it take to hear back from the review board? |

Do we think those with preemployment offers at the Captain review board to be deemed “unsuccessful” due to the hiring freezes?
