Wow! They caught up quick. I suspect they were interviewing so few people after Q2 that everyone interviewed between then and Dec are going to be in one class.

I just got the email for June 16th class. Early April of this year interview. OTS

Did they complete any sort of background check beyond the drug testing before you got the class date? I’m a late April 2025 interview and am curious if I might also hear back soon.

I interviewed early march, have not heard anything since signing the CJO. No word on review board or background check results (I don't think they tell you something unless you fail).

Just some more data points:

The May 5th class was about as big as my class (35-38), and Envoy is picking up flying from American as American rolls back their own flying due to the market downturn. As it stands, despite the market's downturn Envoy is increasing its flying. DEC demand is extremely low, and the Union thinks FOs will start being voluntold to upgrade soon. We just got an email saying that due to the high summer demand, junior manning might become more common, and to prepare for it.

I'm seeing people interviewing every day I'm on property, so there's that. Envoy is also waiting to see what American is going to do about classes in August (confirmed no flow for June/July). I doubt attrition to Delta/United will be much of a factor due to recent hiring pauses and events.

Some of this is old news, but I figured I'd throw this out here. Overall mood at HQ seems optimistic.

I’ve heard nothing since until the email rescinding the CJO. As I said, oh well, I’ve found something else and am happy where I am now. This is merely to give a data point. I’m guessing any DECs are being slow rolled until 12 months so they can rescind and have you reapply as an FO. But who knows.

"The word" is they don't need DEC's. They have plenty of FO's that are qualified upgrades. It is a shame that they weren't at least honest about why they recinded, if "the word" is correct. Also, even if hired as DEC pretty sure there is no bonus any longer. I am a DEC and have been here well over a year and if I stay will probably be on reserve for another year at least but probably 2 or 3 if hiring at the majors don't pick up. There are many FO's that are comfy with sitting in the right seat (getting captain pay for now) even though they are qualified upgrades, but I expect there will be forced upgrades by summer or end of year. Thus the need for DEC's isn't there even though they go through reserve captains like water on a daily basis. Be glad you found something else that makes you happy unless sitting reserve for a good while makes you happier :) Envoy is an OK place to be, but it is pretty stagnant for DEC's as I assume most places are right now. Also, come the end of 2026 I think EVERYONE at Envoy is in for a surprise as current pay rates are set to expire. Just my non-optimistic take.

Does anyone know if they offer you a class date and you cannot accept it, they will put you in the NEXT available class or do you go back down to the bottom of the pile?

Do you know any info about PSA hiring?
