Is it your belief that the flow through would end if Compass started flying AAG 175's?

Ahh, thought maybe Compass pilots had better jumpseat privilege like Endeavor has or something along those lines.

Compass does not have anything special with DL as far as jumpseats. Endeavor, like you said though, does.

remember when American Airlines really did do this flying with the Fokker-100

there's your precedent

I truly hope these aircraft go mainline but I have my doubts.

you may have doubts, but it is a given they wont.

Not speaking of flow or anything like that... Just certain benefits employees enjoy and operationally Compass enjoy's by being solely a Delta Connection carrier. Employees would lose access to the vast array of ID90/ZED agreements they can use today thanks to Delta. But other than that trivial mess there are plenty of things like being handled by mainline agents rather than DGS, certain technology and operations programs and functions.

Surely its not the end of the world, but Compass has it good being exclusively Delta connection... if they want to branch out and start flying for other partners, that relationship surely wouldn't be as strong as it is today.

Source? Or just going off of what Mason32 said (which tends to be accurate)

No, he asked what compass pilots have with delta that Skywest pilots don't. The obvious answer is a flow through. Simple as that. unless he's trolling?

What makes you so certain they would lose out on things such as ID90/ZED tickets? Did this happen at your airline? Who would handle Compass flights at all of the gates in MSP if they did start flying some American routes out of, for example, DFW? I don't understand what you're talking about with ground handling. It sounds like you're being very vague and kind of talking out of your a**. Can you provide past experience or proof of this or are you assuming?

I was the one who asked that if you would take 3 seconds to look before you post. And that is not an obvious answer at all, pilots with flow privileges stopped in 2010 when TSA bought them. Those with flow privileges would continue to flow regardless of which carriers Compass chooses to fly for. Thank you air101 for the info, for what its worth I had know idea zed fares would even be remotely in jeopardy. I have never heard of any such thing.

all i was doing was stating the obvious (hence why i put question marks) because you didn't in your question. If you wanted a specific answer, make your question more specific. ex. "for the compass pilots that don't qualify for the flow through, what's the difference between them and skywest pilots in relation to delta"

buddies8 04-30-2014 09:40 AM

answer none.
