New career at Envoy

I’m a CFI right now building time until I have the hours required for the R-ATP. I’ve been looking quite a bit at Envoy for my first airline job if I can get on with them but the new cuts and airplanes sent to PSA makes me nervous. Any insights? Is this a temporary and passing hardship because of difficult contract negotiations or is Envoy going to join the myriad of other regional airlines that have been cut in favor of someone cheaper?

Ugh..... Just read the other 20+ threads that answer this question.

By the nature of how this industry functions, no regional should be considered completely safe or stable. I would suggest considering a regional that has a base close to where you live.

Currently reserve is running 3+ years. Do not consider Envoy unless you live in one of the bases, even then there are better choices.

...that's what our recent new hires did and unfortunately we're displaced to a different equipment and base due to a base closure!

This "career" is a crapshoot, good luck!

Envoy seems to be the most desperate to hire you. It's not very well regarded here, but if you turn that into the bright side of the coin you can use that to your advantage.
