Envoy's New TA

American Airlines' Envoy unit in tentative agreement with pilots | Reuters

"If ratified, this Tentative Agreement ... will be especially promising for our pilots, providing them new, large and modern aircraft to fly and a faster path to a career at American Airlines," Envoy Chief Executive Officer Pedro Fábregas wrote in the letter.

Any Details to compare it too Piedmont's deal? I'm sure it has got to be better then what we got.

Question, what you gonna do when the flow STOPS?
Remember AAG and department of justice agreement for three years not to pull out of any hubs or reduce flights. That agreement expires next year.
AAG has nine hubs, I can almost guarantee thre hubs will be closed and become just a large focus city at best. Which three, don't know. But with almost 30% hub reduction means over staffing at aa which will be absorbed by attrition for retirements. This will drag out for about five years and no new hire positions at aa. Thes are facts to be played out. That is why Parker is in a hurry to get all contracts on AAG done by this year.
So what you gonna do when the flow stops? The flow has always been an item that has had a very high price attached to it.

Outside of another 9/11 type event, hiring is not likely to stop anytime soon.

With all the promised spots to Envoy, Piedmont, and PSA pilots; getting hired is looking more challenging for someone who is not part of a flow program. Same goes for Delta hiring I would think.

Good Luck.

I think a bonus is taxed at a much higher rate.

$12,500 bonus for everyone (FO get last $5000 of it when upgrade)

824 flow is 50% of AA class (min 20 now, min 30 when 175 shows up)

Protected pilot flow 35% of AA class min 25 per (50% and 30 when 40th 175 shows)

No not true. Although more may be withheld in taxes from the bonus, at the end of the year when its time to do your taxes, you will pay the same tax rate. It simply means maybe you get a little bigger tax refund then you are accustomed to. All in all, it all "comes out in the wash" type of thing.
