Only if you're the pilot hired into that seat.

Even if I'm not its better. Being a regional pilot is not a career and more opportunities for a career at a mainline are better for everyone. There is no pilot advantage to more RJs.

I still maintain that you are choosing to only look at part of the picture. It is true that the financial terms are not available to compare against what other DCI carriers are doing it for, but based on what you said about the performance penalties it sounds to me like there wasn't much extra to work with. Other DCI carriers are making it work with what I'm assuming the same performance penalties, even GoJet which is another privately held company. And while you are probably correct that Air Wisconsin taking 20 CRJ's wouldn't have caused a furlough at Endeavor, not Pinnacle anymore. I think you're being simple minded to believe that it wouldn't have affected their quality of life.

Never said I was looking at the whole picture. My original comment was in response to how Ail Willy pilots were reacting to the prospect of getting the Delta flying - which for the most part given past track record, was cautious optimism. This is the place that didn't get the Midwest Connect flying (but we had cookie ovens all set to plug in, right?); other flying opportunities; shoot, we can't even get an EFB solution let alone a definitive answer as to how long our current contract with AA/US lasts.

No doubt that QOL would suffer with the loss of 20-some airframes, but again it's not something I alluded to. Also, wasn't Endeavor (which is still the PCL MEC - ALPA didn't change their abbreviation; sorry for not using standard abbreviations) supposed to be an all -900 fleet anyway?

As to my 18-month remark... I just don't see how Delta could play AWAC as the low card in a rate reset. We keep hearing that we are too expensive :) (also note use of :) in my first post). 18 months was just an arbitrary number I pulled out my butt. Delta could have had some devious scheme to play that card, but again, I don't think the $$$ (if we knew what the numbers were) really support that. Just my opinion, of which that and four dollars will get you a caffeinated drink at Starbucks.

Why would you care one way or another? Thought you got out of aviation?

If I was new to the 121 world probably wouldn't be a bad move.

Oh, and I'm not reading through 5 pages of bickering to see if someone posted this, but Our Great Leader specified it was Envoy's embraer ops were to cease in NY, nothing about the CRJ ops closing up. He also said that we are keeping the CRJ's until 2017 now.

Any Envoy folks commute from Salt Lake City to DFW or ORD? How would that rate on the good/bad scale...or maybe the bad/worse scale?

Some CRJs for a bit longer, not indefinitely.

That is correct. PSA is taking delivery of 24 more 900's and we will begin taking delivery of some of your 700s before the 900's begin delivery, and then we are supposed to take delivery of the remaining 700's after the last of the 24 900's is on property in 2017.
