I met several guys who got hired straight out of commercial. No time building, instructioning, or anything. They were interviewed and hired right after commercial certificate.

So mainline won't hire them, but they'll contract them out to fly for them anyway.

Makes total sense.

Pick Envoy.

Actually MS is one of the most knowledgeable people in that school house. He is intense, but very good at his job. I hope for him every year for recurrent so that he can hit me with some knowledge before my exams. The bad experiences are more than likely the newb's that don't quite have things down yet or have a non airline back ground

Mainlie carriers would have an interest on keeping their cheap feed staffed...ijs.

Mesa or Envoy??

If you tell your Mother you are thinking about Mesa, she will break both your legs....

I second M.Stewart. you will leave his class learning something. He knows his stuff and will teach it to you. Most other instructors just read you the book.

Most who hate him have thin skin and hate being called out for not knowing their plane.

If you're ok with:
The lowest pay in the industry bar none. (The bonus is a joke. Read the fine print)
The highest healthcare cost (usually 80% of one paycheck)
Hearing our CEO whine about the 1500 hour rule in every email to us
Contract negotions that's going on 5 years now
Being spoken to by crew tracking like you're a rented mule
Every day your value to the company becomes less and less
Rehiring people that have failed several times (unconfirmed rumor but it wouldn't surprise me.)
A CEO who's mindset seems to be stuck in the early 2000's when pilots were a dime a dozen.
Then come to Mesa.

Otherwise do yourself a huge favor and go anywhere else.

I agree with this.
