Attrition honestly isn't that bad right now. Most of what you're seeing is guys who've been on emp leave for half a year falling off the list.

Pretty sure this post needs a sarcasm font.

If not, let’s just say we disagree. As in really, really disagree.

I think layoffs will probably be announced today-or very soon.

Something isn't adding up. I'm work friends with the most junior FA and he has been given a recall notice effective June 1.

That's likely because the LGA base closes at the end of May.

I think this management team is out of touch but claim to have "a lot to be optimistic about." Optimistic, hmm. People getting displaced, laid off, worsening quality of life, indefinite reserve, indefinite upgrades. Yes, optimistic is the right word. GW sounds like a douche. Especially from that last conference call, where apparently we are already equivalent to endeavor on pay with all our amazing work rules.

Just like the Delta contract, this is a Skywest scheme with the cooperation of AAL. It’s been part of the plan all along and the early termination of the UAL contract will come as well. It’s just more complicated with UAL because the transition away from the ERJs will be more difficult than a simple transfer of the CRJs.

Oh, I couldn't care less about the company itself. I do feel bad for the folks grasping at the last bit of hope, thinking some sort of salvation is right around the corner. I knew quite a few with that mentality who worked for Comair back in the day.

I think for many of us still here it's a combination of morbid curiosity of what will happen next combined with little to lose at this point unless it's a truly upward move. Heck, worst case I'll probably get an ERJ type out of it since we have that contract for the next 5 years which might help my apps. But as months go by I continue to reevaluate the options in giving up my current QOL. I'm not under any delusion that there is a rosy future, but then again this is not 2012.

Same here. Left over a year ago to go to PSA. Training was a PIA, I'll admit. But enjoyed some bonuses, more to come, and been holding a line for some time now. XJT had some great people but didn't stand a chance.
