You know what else is coming? September 2nd. If there’s no information before then, it’s a lost cause. The only people who are going to stay longer than the next bonus are the more senior CPP guys. That’s not enough to operate an airline.

We were told the same thing in November, December, January.... it gets old. Up there with “We’ve got a seat at the table” and “Our partners are noticing.” Soon it can be told to a near empty room, and at that point good luck staffing anything that might happen. This is not 2012, there aren’t a bunch of desperate Comair pilots begging for jobs.

I have nothing to do with Airlines. however have invested in the majors. I follow the forums. And I will say, by far. This is my favorite group. Negative attitudes are few. Joking is positive. Hopefully delta buys you as a singular group and doesn’t merge you with endeavor. Your pilot group rocks. It’s all about attitude and qol. I wish you well.

Non-airlines person here. Just someone with stock, that occasionally reads the forum and have for years. This is the first time I’ve felt completely appalled by a post (Regards to archy meat-pants). After reading that, will I ever put my family on a flight with an Expressjet connection again? Absolutely not. For fear it will have him/her in the cockpit.
Keep in mind archy meatpants, it isn’t just your family of pilots, to whom you should always be loyal. But outsiders read this to.
So grow up, take your millennial diapers off and put your big boy/girl pants on.

Hm. I'm beginning to see a conspiracy. There's a guy on the Skywest forum who's not a pilot but constantly spouts anti-union rhetoric as a concerned self-proclaimed shareholder. This guy, another concerned shareholder spreading rumors about being bought.
Maybe, just maybe paid online trolls by INC to keep the house in order. That would be my guess.

^This^ ... if the opportunity is there, take it. I was very pleased with my schedule at XJT and fully appreciate how easy it is to get used to the same thing. But the routine there just leads to no opportunity for advancement and there’s no way to deny the direction things are going. I left at the end of last year - I work more, am on reserve for the first time in years, but I also make more. Being at a major that owns the tickets they sell, not listening to your single flight attendant argue with every other passenger that their bag is too big, hearing snarky comments on how small the plane is, flying one or two legs a day max now instead of four or five, etc. it’s all an improvement. From just a peace of mind standpoint too, knowing that you’re at an airline that’s taking delivery of new aircraft every month and isn’t going anywhere over being at one that shrinks every single day with no known future will help your sanity! I do get that leaving is easier said than done but you’ll never know if you don’t apply. Keep applying and updating every time a window is open. Eventually the call will come.
