Default Training pay

On APC it says guaranteed 65 hrs at $40/hr. So are they saying you’re gonna make $2600 for the whole month or is that some sort of bare minimum? My house alone is $1900/mo.

Lol well to be honest that’s not bad for a mortgage. Most 2 bed apartments in my area are $1600+. I mean I can eat Raman noodles but if I can barely pay my mortgage then that’s gonna be hard to do.

When do you start? Hopefully the new hire bonus will be bumped up a bit, which would help you out.

Haven’t applied but doing my research. I wanted to see if this was correct because if XJT is wondering why they aren’t getting new hires training pay could be an issue also. That’s $2600 before taxes. I get 10 years ago that was the starting pay but pilots would get second jobs like delivering pizza to make ends meet and pay their dues. It’s not like you can get a side job while in training for 3-4 months. Either way just surprised that’s all, kinda bust my bubble a bit. No way I can afford going here.

It's pretty much the same across all regionals. They all dress it up differently, but the fact is - you get paid around $50k first year at any regional.

I was in training a little over 2.5 years ago and the pay was $300 a week. Had to go out on medical leave and short term disability which was only 60% of that. Now they want to rescind my CJO because the FAA is taking to long to get me approved to fly again.

And, CommutAir is as close to a wholly owned regional as United will ever have.

Do the research. Look at your total compensation over your expected years there. Look at the odds of going elsewhere.
