EWR Base
I'm going to bid EWR, I live in Boston and there are 15 flights a day to EWR. while I'm on reserve I will need a crash pad. Anyone know where to look in the area. I start class May 6th so I wouldn't need it till JUL-Aug time frame. Oh and do you think it would be needed past reserve? Sorry coming from 91K so I've never needed to worry about this before, thanks for any help.

I commuted to Newark from Boston for years before leaving two years ago. Lots of flights but all over the place for how open they are. There are also a ton of UAL guys commuting that route. With United pulling out of Manchester, you now have all the NH guys coming down to Logan. You’ll wait around a lot as you will learn but can generally get to work and home. The late morning through late afternoon flights are not reliable options in either direction, especially during peak travel days or when there is weather. You’ll need to get used to going down early and flying home later.
JetBlue is a life saver on that route. The good news with them is their flights are rarely full. The bad news is weekends there are only two a day with them to Newark and there’s been some chatter about that market being reduced or chopped.
Last resort you can always drive .. I did it a few times, door to door from Logan to Newark with no traffic, it can be done in just under four hours.
