I still don’t understand how people can go to work for a company that is the industry dirt bag. Literally, this place is the Walmart of carriers, moving onto every street corner thriving by driving down wages and kicking out all others along the way.
I can’t even look at these guys in the face anymore, they are such a disgrace to this entire industry.
Oh but wait, they have West Coast basing....

You use terms like "this place" and "they"...who exactly do you work for? You work for SkyWest or Xjet? You seem confused.

That public information shows the last time you made money was 2006, which is probably when you were learning to play the recorder. Skywest didn't put in a bid for Express until 2008 and didn't succeed in taking control until 2010. St. George should be the patron saint of those who can't get hired elsewhere.
Most people want to put the blame somewhere. I get it.
13 years of money losing flying doesn't happen unless you are bankrolled.

The last profitable quarter was 1st qtr 2007. That’s when CAL lost the CPA rate reset arbitration, again. So they decided to play hardball since they couldn’t convince a neutral arbitrator to give them what they wanted (Skywest rates). CAL announced they were withdrawing 69 EMB145s from XJT. So XJT exercised their first right of refusal and kept all 69 of them by paying 2% extra on the leas rates. Expressjet branded flying was born and then came the hemorrhage of money for the next 18 months. In comes Skywest with their low ball CPA offer. CAL threatened xjt management they would pull ALL flying within 12 months unless they provided CAL rates that are on par to Skywest’s CPA they negotiated. Of course that was with the assumption that Skywest would buy xjt and force 16% concessions (among other things such as deleting the scope letter) in order to bring pilot costs to same level as Skywest’s. The xjt MEC refuses to give concessions, the deal fell through, xjt management capitulated and signed Skywest’s CPA. Branded was folded, saving millions in costs but the unprofitable Skywest CPA still led to losses. Xjt management chipped away by winning CPAs with united and USair until Skywest came back and bought xjt, keeping the USair flying for themselves. Xjt continued to lose money under the CPA Skywest negotiated in 2008 and beyond until they sold them a few months ago. It was literally 10 years and one quarter of loses due because of Skywest.
Has new rates been negotiated for the 145 CPA? Or is xjt still operating under what Skywest negotiated?
