I respect what the union is doing, but I believe they need to acknowledge and accept the fact they agreed to this deal and sold it to the pilot group as a great thing this time last year. Regardless of the politics more new hires is nothing short of a good thing for us.

5 years upgrade for e175 last i heard from a friend who just got hired.
And this is if they are not forced to upgrade on the e145 first.

Partially correct. The Union was told that Letter 2 negotiations would begin immediately following ratification of the Contract. The BS’ers in ATL soon forgot that and sailed away to better opportunities, much like the pilot group at XJT should do.

If new hires are even around for five years considering the retirements that will be happening in the next 3-5. PIC will be preferred but wont halt someone from getting to the big 3 or even LCC

Couldn’t be more inaccurate. Most junior “award” for 175 CA is about 14 years.

Ditto. Without looking at the seniority list, this sounds correct.

Haha I know someone who got just got awarded 175 FO at their 5.5 year mark, went and finished training and then got awarded 145 CA.

Next 175 CA bid comes out September 23. I think it will drop to around 8-9 years. For perspective, the award that just went to a 14 year pilot was made last month. So it will drop 4-5 years in a month.
