But what happened to SkyWest? You promised us the next 175's must go to SKW?

I know you are stuck on the dual cabin language but it’s NEW flying not replacement airframes. And it’s 76 seaters.

Nothing about 76 seaters in there. Just dual cabin.

I'm just having fun with Melit here. The background was when he said XJT (nor anyone else) won't get any more 175 flying from United because of the SkyWest "deal".

What's dual cabin? I assume first class and economy , but some of these posts have me doubting that.

Yes. First and Coach. Coach has two classes because of their "premium" economy, but it's the same cabin.
Makes it dual cabin and three class flying.

Quite the contrary. It’s obvious there’s a lot of work being done behind the scene, a lot of it related to rebuilding the airline that Skywest took apart.

For example, the IT department is coming together. We have moved many things away from Skywest IT. Company is looking at replacing our EFBs, although not Apple at this time.

There’s a lot of work being done on improving the reliability of our aircraft. They’ve been running simulations with Embraer and Collins to improve reliability of the PACKs of the 145s. Also something with Rolls Royce, but I think it was related to the 175s.

They’re finally moving the 145 sim out of flight safety, joining our other two sims in our training center.

Hiring continues full steam ahead.

There’s lots going on. There’s even money being invested in the 145 fleet.

So it sounds like what every regional airline is doing?

Yes, they’ve invested in some hardware but have deliberately negated to the most important part...

The People / Employees.

In addition to the pilots the mechanics and flight attendants are being asked for concessions.

Morale is at an all time low.

The mechanics college that used to work with us has told our recruiters they are not welcome due to the absolutely abhorrent starting pay they offer our mechanics. It’s the lowest in the industry.

Subodh is well on his way to destroying another once great airline.
