Nothing ‘official’, but allusions to the idea have been floated by upper managament. There seems to be a circular firing squad here between recruiters and more recuiters (not exclusive of this post). Until the postcard arrives via USPS, I’d just keep it in mind.

I think it’ll be a thing after 20-01 is out. Anyone interested will have to be happy with IAH, IAH or IAH only and about 5-6 yrs of reserve. So no more than 11 days off a month (12 on a 31 day month). If that sounds like something you’re interested in, welcome aboard!
Anywhere you apply to be a DEC will be an extended stay on reserve unless there’s explosive growth or a flow to take senior people above you off the list. Envoy’s DEC’s are looking at 1.5 - 3 yrs of reserve, maybe more.

The company would not be throwing an additional $10K bonus at applicants if they were not going to train them as captain upgrades.
24 is a specific number. The last bid announcement said they wanted to staff 60 more CA’s in IAH of which would would include 15 displaced from CLE and 15 from EWR. The bid closed last night I bet only FO’s on property bid for CA and had the time to hold it which led to the announcement of 24 street openings. There are qualified FO’s on property who for their own reasons have chosen not to upgrade
