Default ExpressJet Bases and Credit Q's

As far as the ONTor LAX goes. Could someone live in SAN and sit reserve for these bases? is there long/short callouts? Upgrade times at these bases? How are the lines?

Also I've heard that ExpressJet has very good work rules, I have friends at SkyWest that say that they can always average 100 per month of pay by working the system and still get 15 to 16 days off. Is this possible at ExpressJet??

Thanks in advance for the info.

16 days off and 100hrs of pay/flight, I dont think that would even be possible with 30/7 issues.....................and no it will take you a long time to hold 16 days off..................at least at the CAL bases

Yeah but i think he was talking about the branded bases. In the branded bases you could probably sit reserve in SAN once you get long call. Reserve is short in the new bases and you should get a line quick. Lots of flying and hiring. Upgrade is 2 years now and Projected to get down to a year and a half. FWIW good luck

Thats scary I plan on staying EWR and waiting for the upgrade, which I guess if all stays the same maybe 2.5 3 years either way 1.5 is LOW

Pay SAAB, not actual flight hours. You can do that with all the nifty little bonuses built into your pay (150% overtime, block or better, etc.) to get over 100 hours. I did 120+ in December but only flew 80+ with the last week of the month off. Of course, I'm not at XJet, but if I can do it at RAH, you gotta be able to do it at XJet.

16 days off would be a miracle here too inside of 1st year.

With decent seniority (probably above 50% in your base and position) or a good understanding of PBS you can easily get over 100 hours of pay with 15 days off at SKW. I'm sure XJT has similiar rules that can net you more credit hours than block hours and I think their PBS system is better than ours

If by "better" you mean "non-existent," then yes. I routinely credit 20 to 30 hours more than I block in a month. You have know how to work the system to do that, though (but it's not difficult).

This month I've been FBO'd (dropped for O.E) and have 17 days off @ 97 hours of pay. Last month 14 days off @ 104 hrs. It is possible to break 100 hrs a month, shoot I can pick up a 4 day during the red flag (150%) and add another 30 or so hours. 17 days off and 125 hours is nice but ill take the days off . Branded Flyer!!!
