Since TSA is getting 3 airplanes from Mesa to go to the UA side I think we're taking a little bit of that flying. As for why XJ is getting some before any of the other UAX carriers...thats beyond me... but then again I'm young...

It's possible XJT already has the planes.

Yes, they would be coming from the Branded.

That's affirm, latest word is that we're reducing branded by 10 frames to be put in service with United...again I haven't seen anything in writing just something I heard.

Why are they doing that? I've talked with some of the guys when JSing to work and they kept saying how Delta wanted more planes but XJT didn't want to give them up. Then they go and give them up to UAL.

It could be a matter of arrangement, the Delta flying is only under a fee for departure for 10 airframes the remainder is under a pro-rate (XJT carries risk), whereas the 10 airplanes going to UAL could be cpa, which is guranteed profit. Maybe DAL wanted more flying under the pro-rate. Then again, maybe the line guys you're jumpseating with have no clue what the real situation is, and constantly talk about things that aren't based in reality.

Good for XJT! Looks like the MAG pillaging has begun and it will continue through 2010. Look for a lot more UAL and US flying to be move off of MAG's hands and I'm sure everyone will benefit in some shape, form or fashion.

SKW handled over 6000 hrs a month of MAG's flying last summer and from what I heard Jerry didn't want to allocate SKW resources to doing it again. It pushed us paper thin last year and if SKW plans on picking up more flying (like the rumors have stated) they'll have to keep themselves under check.

Good for XJT!

I hope AWAC is next up, but good for you guys, classy bunch that deserve the flying.

I think this is the reason for the hiring we are doing now
I think they are going to expand some, but it is not going to be explosive

Ask the staffing issue question again in april and see what it looks like

Since I have been there it seem that united gives all the flying we have airplanes for,

And we are getting four new frames, but two are to replace planes we already have and two more to up our fleet to 50 aircraft.

so it is not really a staffing issure right now for two more planes, and it is going to take another couple of months to bring the four united planes into service.

no bigger our fleet and our staff, it seems the pace is about right for now
