Default Expressjet to fly for United

No official word yet, but maybe 5-10 airplanes out of either ORD or IAD????
Don't think it is a long term deal, but I guess its better then under-utilized airplanes

Doubt it, UA would probably ask their feeders first, I know TSA would like that flying.

That's good news. If the UAL/CAL merger goes through it wouldn't hurt to have a good reputation with UAL already made.

TSA can't staff their current planes. Why replace one regional that's having staffing issues with another?

Says who? 50 reserve captains. 40 a month in the FO classes. I think there is enough there.

Doesn't sound like there's anything to doubt.

We knew we were parking 5 airplanes, but didn't know who was picking up the slack.

So would that potentially make ORD a senior or junior base for Express Jet? I would like to work for Express Jet...but i live in Chicago.

Since TSA is getting 3 airplanes from Mesa to go to the UA side I think we're taking a little bit of that flying. As for why XJ is getting some before any of the other UAX carriers...thats beyond me... but then again I'm young...

The upgrading at 1500hrs and all the ones I run into at STL. They might have enough reserves to fly currently but not enough to expand.
