. I have applied a few places and haven't heard much, did get an offer for a (what I believe) is a ****ty job, slightly less pay then here but M-F, I said no thanks. I am actually able to make some cash with Photography on the side

you cant blame him for trying. the system is retarded and it favors nepotism and who you know. You cant be mad at the guy that got hired at CAL with 1900 TT and 700 multi in 2006 because of who his father knew but you can be mad at the system that allowed it. I think this is one of the things we need to change going forward. Have the recommendations come into play after the individual gets called in for an interview. You should need to get through the door with your experience and then get the extra help.
