5 days of Basic Indoc with the test at the end of the 5th day. 2 days of CRM. 9 days of Systems. 1 day for Systems test and emergency equipment in the cabin trainer. 3 days of FTD's (3rd is a training gate, meaning you have to pass to continue) 1 day for Oral. 2 additional days of FTD's. (This time with flight instructors, 2nd day is another training gate) 7 days of Sims. 1 day for Initial Proficiency Check. (checkride) 1 final day for LOFT. (line oriented flight training, with a new upgrade CA) BI, CRM, and Systems are Mon-Fri 8-5. FTD's and SIM schedules vary and include nights & weekends, with randomly scheduled off days. I started Jan 3rd and I'm schedule to finish Feb 17th. One guy has already been sent home. |
All I know is you guys need to finish and get on the line in ORD so I can be a line holder by the time I get displaced there in...4 weeks lol.

Does anybody know if we are supposed to get any studying material before the class date? I'm in Feb 28th class and by reading the thread I see many guys recommend studying limitations, memory items, flows, and profiles before we come to the class. What are we supposed to be studying from? All I got so far was a short "welcome aboard ASA/XJT" email with almost no info about anything.

I also have been reading not to worry too much about studying limitations, speeds, etc... They will provide all this in training and they really dont want you to start learning anything yet.. apparently its counterproductive. But... if you are like me and want to know a little bit of the airplane checkout smartcockpit.com it has a good overview of things. Im not committing anything to memory, just reading it over. I was sent an ERJ studyguide and some other PDFs by a friend who was just getting ready to start class in 2008 but then they canceled it. If you or anyone else is interested in them just PM me with your email and I can send it over. Hope this helps. |
Just received my hotel info for Feb 21st class if that helps

Thats all Ive got since Monday. From what I understand you dont hear much till training starts. I was thinking they would send some hotel info too but they havent yet. Ive just been asking around here what to expect and also on jet careers. Ive been able to put together tidbits of info on the schedule, hotel, uniforms and other things needed. Also checkout ExpressJet Forums. Its another forum. Go to the new hires page and check out uniforms and new hires stickies. Lots of good info there and most of it still applies I think.
