It's already a transportation company. So that's not even an option. oops.
Continental is also an unrelated tire company.

Continental Express is also the name of a (Transportation) Moving Company.

Same for United Van Lines.

Well Continental is so old that it was much less important that a company in Europe had the same name, back then.

And I bet Continental could have went after the moving company and gotten a cease and desist if they wanted to spend the time and money.

And United Van is not United Air.

Most famously, WWF was forced to change to WWE by the World Wilde Fund for Nature, but only because they had trademarked "WWF." Most likely the name would have to include "Airlines" (Atlantic Express Airlines) to satisfy disambiguation. As long as the literature on tickets and company communications has "Airlines" I doubt your contention that a transportation company by a similar name would have any claim.

All you did was re-state my point, Atlantic Express is not Atlantic Express Air.

So at first I thought the company had one choice:

Quickly have a poll/vote whatever and get it over as soon as possible.

But they went with a second, less common approach. After a few days... pretend like it didn't happen.

I thought they would have wanted to get this behind them ASAP.
