You must live in some podunk town usa or depend on your husband/wife for a livable wage. Because my capped out fo pay is barely keeping me aflaot.

I am so sick and tired people defending taking concessions. We need to be getting 10 to 30 % raises to keep up with inflation.

Up until this point the only answer I've heard is "we were profitable until SkyWest bought us and agreed to a crap CPA with UA". Maybe so. But this doesn't change the fact the business is loosing money! I guess they could renegotiate with UA. Or you could make a few efficiency changes (not pay cuts) and live to fight to the next CPA.
Lol. You're funny. How much does SkyWest charge ExpressJet for IT services? Payroll? Accounting? More than the market rate. They are conveniently moving money around to make us look unprofitable.

ExpressJet being 60% of Inc's operation and as unprofitable as they claim, yet Inc still raking in money doesn't pass the smell test. And the SEC should investigate it.

We will never be as efficient as Skywest and don't you think it is interesting that they are "willing" to give us everything Skywest has but not the one list? If they give us the one list, there goes the whipsaw. Even if we vote this TA in, guess what will happen next year and every other to follow. They will tell us we weren't competitive enough to get those CPA's.

I loved it when on the union call, one of the MEC guys (forget who), stated that if the past is a precedent of what we can accomplish with the company that he thinks that it is worth standing behind them. His example of it was getting the CR7's from Horizon. To me, if the past is a precedent then look at all the grievances that had been filed from the L-ASA contract since it was implemented. If a company is worthy of standing behind, then they should first and foremost honor the contract which they signed. It's time to recall the ASA MEC guys.

What does "L" mean when put before an airline? As in L-ASA or L-AE.

Does it mean former?

Btw, Congrats DMB on B6

It seems to me that it is going to fail hence the timing of the Skywest deal and a few other things. Hopefully I am not proven wrong.

+1. I take casting a yes vote as a personal affront. Capped out FO pay, no non-education debt, not living large by any stretch of the imagination, yet still eating ramen and picking up every scrap of open time I can just to try to balance the budget each month.

This TA would be a personal financial disaster, and people like JoeMerchant make me sick every time I read their stupid rationalizations. Maybe if you had to worry about feeding yourself Joe you'd actually look out for your fellow pilots and vote no. So much for the younger guys being the "ME ME ME" generation... it's guys like Joe, and union guys like EF who keep their 6 hours and get an extra CDO every week. Disgusting.
