I mean jeez...first it's We're all screwed because Age 65...We're all screwed because of 69 planes....We're all screwed because of Colgans Q400's....now it's because of Comair.
Continental chose Colgan for a reason, becuase a trop can obviously make more money on the EWR-SYR, EWR-BTV, EWR-PVD, etc runs.
Close your mouth, do your job. I love ya man, but you've gotta shut the fuk up. We all care about our jobs, but with your time, you'll find something else should a furlough come.

It wasn't about who could do the flying cheaper it was more that CAL wanted to diversify the flying. I don't think that CHQ is doing it much cheaper than we at Express are doing it. As for the Colgan opperation, it will allow bettter utilization out of EWR. The Q400 will be able to use runway 11/29 and it will decrease ATC delays in and out of EWR by a little but every little bit helps up there. That has been in the plans for awhile and I'm sure it will be to cities that we use to fly to with the ATRs.
As for the Saab's question CAL will surely decrease XJT flying and give it to some one else and start using there own 737 on the routes. They don't want to rely on one regional to much. That is the business now. Don't worry about things that aren't in your control. Do your job well, get your PIC time, make lots of contacts, and get out of the regionals.
Just my thoughts.
