Anyone know how the signing bonus is paid for new hires with atp Type ratings and 121experience . Dates and how much etc?

I believe it’s $17.5k. $10,000 bonus after your first year and $7500 if you have a type rating and 121 experience paid out after your IOE. Do yourself a favor and take XJT off you list. Even if you live near a base, it’s worth it elsewhere.

This industry is cyclical. Envoy was in the same boat XJT was a few years ago. Long upgrades, questionable future. Now look. Flow. Quick upgrade. XJT will be there again.

Envoy has flow because their WO got their **** together. UAL is a cluster. You may upgrade quick but the flow right now sits at 8 years, not the six as advertised by recruiting. It’s a tough call. Hope you can make a good decision.

Ask yourself how XJT could ever prosper again. It would take a freaking miracle. There’s currently no possibility that anything good could happen. The industry is trying to RID of the old ASA and the only reason it is still even a thing is because of about 400 pilots that could never go anywhere else. Mainly because they don’t want to but I’m pretty sure that attitude would bleed through in an interview and getting hired would be near impossible. Same thing with many flight attendants. They won’t go anywhere.

I hate to say it, but nope.

SKYW has made it’s intentions very clear.

A lot of great people are being affect, and I hate that. I wish things were different, but facts are facts. INC will wind things down. They want to make an example of the union side.

The situation is not similar to Envoy. Not at all.

Definitely not. Envoy is an AAG subsidiary. XJT is a INC subsidiary who happens to own another little airline called Skywest who will do it for less. So unless United gets involved and takes the reigns, the destruction of XJT is inevitable.

PS - There are talks of a Skywest LGA base. Take your blinders off people.

United has made it abundantly clear, time and time again, that they will not enter into a true flow agreement with anyone. While Envoy was in a somewhat similar boat as XJT, so was Comair. It didn't end so we'll for them.

They had better change fast or no one will be left to flow. Other regionals are struggling to fill seats, so the “low hanging fruit” of pilots is gone. UAL needs to figure out their feeder issue yesterday. Every day that passes means more pilots leaving for the competition. The latest debacle with the UAL bonuses doesn’t give me much faith in the horse we’ve been hitched to.
