Default Soul searching, Just need some guidance

Hey
I'm currently at a legacy that isn't furloughing, at least not yet, and received an interview invitation for the purple. I live in PDX and will eventually be based in PDX with my current carrier (I'm sure you can guess which one by now). All I really care about is being at home as much as possible and making enough to fund my hobbies. Does anyone one know the likelihood for me to be able to hold a line with majority PDX overnights? Or is this asking too much?
As you can imagine this is a weird time to be making career decisions so I appreciate any insight into what the life at purple is actually like.

Thanks!

What legacy is has a base in PDX? Don't recall AA, UAL, and or DAL having a base there.

How far from the bottom are you? Just because Alaska is saying they won’t furlough right now doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the near future. I think you owe it to yourself to at least prepare and go to the interview to give yourself the option at least. Commuters have it pretty good at FedEx. Good luck to you.

I'm only about 45ish from the bottom. I'm thinking the same thing. I just start RST the other day but was looking for some motivation. Sitting reserve from the beach was making hard haha. I think those DH trips are the key tho!

Thanks for the advice!

So a potential multi-million dollar career, and avoiding a potential furlough in the future isn't enough motivation? Many would love an interview invite, especially in this environment.

If you decide to throw away your golden ticket, I am sure someone else will be happy to pick it up.

If I were you, I would think long and hard before throwing it away.

If you are even hesitating stay where you are. The one standout consistency at this place is financial steadiness. If that aint your bag stay where you are.

This post can't be serious. But if it is, I'd recommend not wasting your money on RST or any other service. Instead, invest your time soaking up the rays and studying your butt off about the Portland real estate market. That's where the big bucks are. This job will just be a part time job and chump change for a guy like you.

The interview is a breeze. If we called you in, we want to hire you. Just be a good dude and don't rock the boat. Everything will fall into place for you. #troll
