Here is a quote from the 18-01 posting that confirms that you can bid out of your current award:

There are still many pilots holding Airbus Captain and B757 Captain awards with future training dates. Will these pilots go into a bidding pool with pilots that are awarded Airbus Captain and B757 Captain on this bid and have to rebid to get a training slot?

No, you will continue holding the date that you have. You still have the ability to swap training dates with other pilots and your training date is subject to change if pilots holding swards [sic] to Airbus Captain and B757 Captain bid out to new seat positions on this bid.

Changing your bid could put you at the back of the line.
As an example, 75 FO currently awarded 77 FO could bid 75 Capt. But that doesn’t mean you’ll train for 77 FO and then Capt, but rather your 77 FO slot will go to someone else and you’ll remain a 75 FO until you can hold a Capt training slot
