You are exactly right on that!

The day we get bought by Amazon would be the day I update my resume.

Really, really hope that day never happens.

Amazon is the poster child for the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. One only hopes this administration will put a stop to the hegemony of Amazon over entire American industries. First retail, now grocery stores. Next: UPS and FedEx. After that: airlines, oil companies, trains, shipping...Kinda reminds me of Standard Oil and Ma Bell before they were broken up to free commerce from the stranglehold of the monopolist. Let's see, historically, with monopolies comes: lower wages, reduced capital expenditures, less competition = higher prices for goods with less value...and then: deflation and eventually depression! Seen this movie before.
