Never done the SLG thing before but trying it out next month. So here is my question. If I just list preferences, they will be built based on that and I don’t have to list specific trips and reserve blocks? And I put those in the morning on the iPad but now the app isn’t working? Do you have to use the app or can you get there from PFC, I couldn’t find a link. Thanks.. Fingers crossed..

 

You can put in preferences or specific trips.
Easiest way is to select “links” on the right side of PFC homepage and go from there.

When and how do I see the practice bids?

Where do I find a webinar? All I saw about SLG in secure locker went way over my head..

 

It takes a snapshot of your preferences at noon on Friday, so make sure you have your selections in by then. You’ll see the results later in the afternoon usually by 5 pm local Memphis time. Just go into the SLG and click on ‘Reports’ and it will show the results.

The practice to me seems kind of useless unless you’re in the top maybe 10-20%. I’ve done the SLG almost every month since last spring and I’m in the 25-35% range and my final results never look anything at all like my practice bid results, and that’s with me making little to no changes.

Word of advice. I’d suggest putting specific trips you want and then the generic preference. I know you’re a local guy, so say if you want to do AM out/backs and just put the generic choice then you’re going to possibly get a crappy one that has an 0100 show time when there are maybe others that show a few hours later. That happened to me and I then started listing the individual trips to try and avoid the earlier show times. I end up with 50 plus inputs, but it seems to work.

 

Highly recommend the webinar. It is on PFC on right side of the age down by the Pizza Parties . They are every month Thurs and Fri prior to the practice.
