"EUR57" is over CGN right? Was one new hire forced to choose this? Or was this just an optional slot if anyone wanted to be based out there.

It's CGN

New hires are not forced to go there

Can not be forced to go to a foreign domicile

No forcing anyone, CGN base is volunteered and there are quite a few new hires who wants to go to CGN.

On the application it asks if you’d be interested in a FDA, I think it’d be a great experience when the kids are out of the house, but in the near term it would not work based on several factors for us. If I answer yes to the FDA question does that mean I have now “volunteered” for an overseas assignment as a new hire?

I checked No on the application. When I got the call for class, I was asked if I would be interested in CGN. She said she had 2 slots to fill for my class. I declined. It didn't affect my class date at all. Still got put in the same class and could bid on the equipment (got my first choice).

You’re not beholden to your answer to that question on the app. I remember being asked again during the interview if anyone was interested and to write their name down on a sheet if so. I don’t think checking yes or no has any effect on getting a call. If you don’t wanna go right away then don’t check the box and forget about it.

Thank you for the quick replies!

Sorry if this was discussed in another thread already, but how are the schedules and flying in CGN? Is there potential for extended periods of days off?
