Thanks for the update.

I have a question. Why do we at FDX, collectively call the 757, and 767, the 57 and 67? Most in the industry call a Boeing by the first two numbers, the 72, 73, 74, 75, 76...

Why don't we call the Bus the 00, the last two numbers?

Looks like we got it right with the 77;), but I think everyone else calls it the triple...

Something I've always wondered about. 1st world problems I guess?

Back to reading about reserve beard length, and whether beard oil is a claimable expense on our monthly reports.

Delta calls their 767s “ERs” and MD88/90s are Mad Dogs.

American feels it’s too degrading to call it the 75 or 757 so they’re all 767 pilots.

United called their 747s whales and 737s guppies.

Different slang at different airlines.

I think it depends on who you talk to and how long they have been here.. I routinely hear 75, 76 a lot more lately, instead of 57 or 67...

At UPS, the pilots call them 75 or 76, but maintenance calls them 57 or 67. Have to know your audience to sound cool.

Thanks for the LOL.

Anybody have an idea when we will start hiring into the tool box again?

Current training calendar has several new hire 777 FO's in July.

I don't know about August or down the road.

Thankfully, most of the tools have retired or are close.

Of course, there is always the possibility that the older one gets, the more "toolish" one becomes.:D

“The Devil’s Kite”

I’ve been advocating for that for years and I think it’s really gaining traction now!
